Laura Wright

An Official Ambassador program is a long-standing tradition within the Games world. What better way to infuse some excitement into the Invictus Games Toronto 2017 presented by Jaguar Land Rover than to have the support of some of the world’s leading voices. There are leaders across many fields including, entertainment, science and business and social media who have stepped up to show that they #RiseTogether with our wounded, ill, and injured servicemembers and veterans.

We are excited to announce Soprano Laura Wright has been named as an Ambassador to the Invictus Games for a second year running. Wright will be flying out with the teams to perform at the Opening Ceremony on September 23. She will also participate in the Jaguar Land Rover Celebrity Wheelchair Rugby match. The Suffolk-born Soprano wrote the official song of the Games, entitled “Invincible” which debuted at the 2016 Invictus Games in Orlando. She performed ‘Invincible’ for former First Lady Michelle Obama, former American President George W. Bush amongst many other dignitaries in Florida. Wright is very passionate about the link between music and healing particularly in relation to mental health. She has cited that performing at the Games and being an Ambassador is one of her greatest honours.
