The backbone of any large event is the corps of volunteers who make it happen. The Invictus Games Toronto 2017 team is thrilled with the overwhelming number of people who have applied for one the approximately 1,800 volunteer roles for the Games. This is a story of just one of those volunteers.
Caroline McIntosh’s story is a compelling display of gratitude towards our military community. Her story includes playing a leading role in the naming of Ontario’s Highway of Heroes and the creation of the commemorative Highway of Heroes coin from the Canadian Mint. She has joined the Invictus Games Toronto 2017 volunteer workforce to support the rehabilitation of ill and injured service members and veterans.
In this podcast, you hear one woman’s account of giving back. We know what it will mean to the competitors, friends and families coming to the event; what we will learn is what it means to Caroline herself.
