There is no doubt that the support of the Ontario government has been crucial in the execution of the Invictus Games Toronto 2017. The chance to speak with the Honourable Eleanor McMahon gave me the opportunity to engage in a very personal discussion not only about the Games, but about the importance of sport in development of children and rehabilitation of people like the competitors coming to the Invictus Games later this month.
This podcast also offered the opportunity to hear from Minister McMahon about the tragedy of losing her husband and how her personal journey and the way that injured soldiers live change in a moment run parallel courses.
As the Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Sport for the Province of Ontario, the Invictus Games and the activities surrounding the event check off a lot of the priorities that the Minister holds dear. For information online go to: eleanormcmahon.onmpp.ca or follow her @EMcMahonBurl on Twitter.
